Who are we?
We are Party Hire North East (formerly known as Candy Karen) – the North East’s most professional, friendly and affordable provider of party supplies – including glitter and flower walls, snow cones, hot dog machines, candy carts, chocolate fountains, candy floss machines, popcorn machines, doughnut stands and much much more…
When you hire one of our machines, you can rest assured that you will get a fantastic staffed service on the day – backed up by our hygiene certificates, liability insurance, PAT tested equipment, and registration with the local council.
We operate in and around the Northeast – from Northumberland to York, supplying events with anywhere between 50 and 500 guests. Whatever your party needs, we are adaptable in meeting your requirements and pride ourselves on offering a great service at great value!

Sparkly Glitter Walls
Our glitter walls are 7ft by 7ft.
Optional extras – add balloon display to the glitter walls / hoop displays with balloons
Flower Walls
Hire our beautiful flower wall, which provides the perfect backdrop for your event – especially for photographs!

We also now offer a flower arch!
Chocolate Fountains
Hire our stunning chocolate fountains, with illuminated surround and base that can be changed to your desired colour. Can also be used as nacho cheese fountains for when you would like a savoury option.
- Choice of 6 dipping items from:
- Mini doughnuts,
- Marshmallows,
- Strawberries,
- Grapes,
- Jelly babies,
- Profiteroles,
- Pineapple,
- Wafers, and
- Melon.
- Two 3 Tier Chocolate fountains,
- Illuminated surround & base with multi function lights which can be changed to your desired colour,
- A uniformed member of staff,
- Skewers, and Napkins.
- UNLIMITED (fair usage per person) finest Belgian Chocolate of your choice: Milk, Plain, White or Choc orange. The white chocolate can also be coloured to your requirements, even with gold running through.
Staff will set up & maintain and serve your guests & replenish throughout your function/event.
Staff will also clean up & dismantle at the end of the hire period.
Approx 2-3hrs running time
